Personalized handmade rustic wooden wedding guest book sign
This ultra rustic chic wedding guest book sign is made to order from hand cut, sanded, and stained wood. The wood is sanded and stain is layered onto each piece of wood to give it a unique dark rustic wood look. The sign is then laser engraved then engraving is painted-in by hand. If you would prefer a different colour scheme, just let me know, I have many more stain and paint colours to choose from. Your initials, wedding date, and/or a personalized message can be laser engraved into the sign. This sign can be made to custom dimensions to fit your space perfectly and the design can be tweaked to suit you. Each sign comes ready to hang. Use a metallic Sharpie for signing to get brighter signatures, or use black for a more subtle look.

12" X 25" - (pictured above) ideal for small groups under 25. This is a good idea for a rustic wedding party plaque.
14.5" X 25" - ideal for 20 - 50 guests/signatures
17" X 28" - ideal for 40 - 80 guests/signatures
19.5" X 28" - ideal for 75 - 125 guests/signatures

Tips for selecting a size
The above suggestions are based on roughly 4 -7 square inches of area for each guest to write in. The size you need will depend on the chunkiness of the pens you have people sign with, the size of your engraving, the number of guests who will sign, the amount of space you want them to be able to write in, and how squished-in you would prefer the signatures and comments to be. To get a better sense of what size you will need, try filling an 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper with random signatures and comments with a pen / writing size and layout you like. Then divide 93.5 by the number of comments on your page. This number is the number of square inches you want to give each person (or couple) to write in. If you send me the number of comments / signatures you managed to fit on your test page, along with the your total number of guests/couples, I can help you determine the ideal size for your sign.

The word 'wisdom' appears on the back of the sign. Wisdom is my last name and my way of signing (or branding) my work. I wont include this if you don't want me to. Just send me a message asking me to exclude it.
Paypal and Etsy direct are the preferred methods of payment. Currently I do not accept money orders.
Everything in my shop is made in, and ship from, Canada. If you are having your item shipped outside of Canada, please be aware of the import duties that may be charged to you by your country. I will not cover these charges under any circumstances.
Please complete your payment as soon as possible. I will not start the creation process on your project until payment has been processed and we have communicated details about your project. If I do not receive payment and communication within one week of the order being placed, I will cancel the order.
All orders will be shipped to your Etsy Address. If you would like to arrange for delivery to another address, please contact me to make arrangements.
Please provide a contact phone number with your order. This number will only be used by the courier delivering your package in case of difficulty delivering your package. The courier will only guarantee delivery times if a contact number has been provided.
Since everything I create is made to order and each project can take several weeks to complete, creation + shipping time should be taken into consideration if you need your order by a certain date. If you require rush delivery on an item, please contact me to make arrangements (an additional fee may apply).

International shipments outside of Canada and the US are shipped with International Parcel - Surface service and can take up to 3 months to be delivered depending on the country you are in. Larger items may also incur additional shipping fees which will be noted before your project is started. If you need to receive your order quickly you can upgrade the shipping on your package by requesting a shipping upgrade in addition to priority processing.
Shipments to Canada and the US using standard ground shipping typically take 1-10 business days to arrive at their destination. Upgrades to express and overnight shipping services are available (additional fees apply). A different courier and service from the one you selected may be used depending on couriers' history of delivering packages safely and on time to your area - Rustic Engravings will make this call and may contact you if a different shipping method from the one you chose is recommended.
All customs fees will be paid by buyer. If your item is not picked up from the post office or it has an incorrect address, and it is sent back to me as a result, a second shipping fee will be charged to send your package a second time.
Although Rustic Engravings does ship to the US, there may be an additional charge for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico. Also, if you live in an extremely rural area, there is a very small chance that I will not be able to ship to you or there will be an additional fee to cover the extra postage. If you live in the absolute middle of nowhere and you think shipping to your address may incur additional fees, send me a message and I will double check for you. I will not add on any fees without your permission.

Since the items sold in my store are custom made to order art pieces, no returns will be accepted under any circumstances. These pieces are custom made usable artwork and I check everything before I send it out and I will only ship products that meet my high standards of quality.
Since all items are made to order, wood grain will differ from the example image but I always try to select wood with an interesting grain pattern so each book will have character. Note that creative liberties are taken in the creation of each piece. The coloring and texture of your piece will vary from the original listing as well as from the mockup design. When you are purchasing one of my pieces, you are ordering a unique, customized, made-to-order art piece. If your book contains screws, please note that screw color may also vary. Screws may be black or brass depending on what I have in stock. Screw color is not guaranteed but if you prefer a specific color please send me a message and I will try to accommodate your request.
I can only refund items that are damaged during shipping if you, the recipient, open the package with the mail carrier present and initiate a damage claim through the mail carrier. I can issue a refund once that claim has been resolved.
Please be aware of your country's import laws. Rustic Engravings will not issue a refund for any package that is held at the boarder due to import restrictions. Note that as of 2019 USA import laws have become more strict. All products sold by Rustic Engravings comply with USA import regulations however, you may be required to fill out an additional customs form for importing wooden products to the USA which can delay your package. If you are concerned about a delay, please contact me as soon as possible.

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

SECTION 6 - SECURITY
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

To place an order, first, select the listing for the style of book or sign you like, then select the options and add your piece to your cart. Include a description of the text/engraving you would like. Everything you see in the example images is an included option for any book or sign, but if you would like something engraved that you don't see, you can go to the add-ons section and add a custom graphic to your order. Be sure to include a high resolution image of what you would like engraved or a description of what you would like. Once your order is processed you'll receive a few mockups to confirm your engraving design - this is where it can bee tweaked to perfection. You'll get tracking info as soon as your piece is ready to ship.

No. Book spines are made to a precise size to fit the exact number of pages giving these pieces a tight custom-made feel – This does, however, mean that pages cannot be added or removed later on.
Yes. There are a few premade pieces available each month for quick creation. These are listed in the add-ons section of the shop under "priority order". They are limited and they are only available until they sell out.
No. All books created here are blank. You can fill your piece however you like when you receive it.
